Refund & Returns Policy

Shop with confidence at BAPE Clothing. If something isn’t right, our returns process is straightforward and transparent.

Eligibility

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days from the delivery date.
  • Items must be in original condition: unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and free of odors or marks.
  • All original tags, packaging, authenticity card, and our tamper-evident verification tag must be attached and intact.
  • Sneakers and boxed items must be returned with the original box in resellable condition (place the shoe box inside a shipping box).
  • Bundles must be returned complete. Partial returns of bundle items may be eligible for store credit only.

How to Start a Return

  1. Request approval: Email [email protected] with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Receive RMA: We’ll respond with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions.
  3. Pack securely: Include all original accessories, tags, and packaging. Use a protective outer box.
  4. Ship back: Use the label we provide (if applicable) or your own trackable service. Keep the receipt and tracking number.
  5. Inspection: Our team verifies condition and authenticity upon receipt, referencing pre-shipment photos.
  6. Refund/Exchange: Once approved, your refund or exchange will be processed promptly.
Tip: Adding photos of the item and tags in your email speeds up approval.

Exchanges

  • Size and color exchanges are subject to availability at the time we process your return.
  • If the requested item is unavailable, we can issue store credit or a refund to the original form of payment.
  • To secure an item quickly, place a new order and request a refund on the original order via return.

Refunds & Timing

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
  • Processing time: 2–3 business days for inspection + 3–5 business days for your bank or card issuer to post the credit.
  • Shipping fees, duties, and taxes are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
  • Partial refunds may apply if returned items show signs of wear, missing components, or damaged packaging.

International Returns

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, duties, and taxes for international returns.
  • Mark the parcel as “Returned Goods” to avoid delays. Include the RMA number on the outside of the package.
  • Original shipping fees and import duties are not refundable by BAPE Clothing; you may be able to reclaim duties from your local customs authority.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos of the issue and the shipping box.
  • We’ll provide a prepaid label for verified issues and arrange an exchange or full refund.
  • Items damaged through wear and tear are not considered defective.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Final sale items and markdowns labeled “Final Sale.”
  • Underwear, socks, face masks, and swimwear for hygiene reasons.
  • Gift cards and store credit.
  • Customized or special-order items.

Price Adjustments

  • One-time price adjustment may be requested within 7 days of purchase if the exact item (style, color, size) goes on sale on bape-clothing.org.
  • Not valid on final sale, limited releases, or third-party promotions.

Gifts

  • Items marked as gifts at purchase can be returned for store credit to the recipient.
  • If the item wasn’t marked as a gift, refunds go to the original purchaser’s payment method.

Packaging & Tags

  • Do not remove the BAPE Clothing tamper-evident tag or manufacturer tags until you’re sure about keeping the item.
  • Return footwear in the original box placed inside a separate shipping box; do not tape or label the shoe box directly.
  • Include authenticity cards, extra laces, dust bags, and any accessories originally provided.

Holiday Return Window

Orders placed between November 15 and December 31 qualify for extended returns until January 31 of the following year, provided all standard eligibility criteria are met.

Return Shipping Costs

  • US returns: Return shipping is deducted from the refund when we provide a label, unless the return is due to our error.
  • Self-ship returns: You may use your own insured, trackable method. We are not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.
  • International returns: Customer is responsible for return shipping, duties, and taxes.

Late or Missing Refunds

  1. Check your bank account and contact your card issuer; posting times can vary.
  2. Contact your bank; there is often processing time before a refund is posted.
  3. If you’ve done all of this and still haven’t received your refund, email [email protected] with your RMA and tracking.

For issues caused by us (wrong item, defective), we provide a prepaid label. Otherwise, return shipping is deducted from the refund when using our label, or you may self-ship using a trackable service.
Markdowns not labeled “Final Sale” follow our standard policy. Items marked “Final Sale” are non-returnable.
Most are returnable unless marked “Final Sale.” All collabs must have tags and tamper seals intact and pass inspection.
Contact us within 7 days of the last tracking update. We will assist with a carrier investigation and next steps. Claims must be filed within carrier time limits.
